Every city has its own character and its own development path, so there is probably no such a uniformed way to solve the sustainable problems for all citys or rural towns. For instance, Sydney cannot use the solutions that Paris has used to treat the water sustainability problem, since the weather, location, city scale, society environment etc. are very distinct from each other. Finding the right way that fit the individual place is very important in order to gain sustainability, other wise there might be more issues come up before the goals been achieved.
